As we enter the long Memorial Day Weekend, I have been reflecting on Shimmerwoods' work from the previous weekends. I'm also looking ahead to the summer season that's about to kick off and everything exciting we have planned!
Memorial Day Weekend
MDW is essentially the call sign for 'SUMMER IS HERE!' and all the retailers, restaurants, wholesalers, etc. start stocking up for the busy season. That's certainly the case with all our partners looking to stock up on Shimmer for those summer vibes. We are always updating our store locator page with new locations, so keep an eye out for a place near you!
Shimmerwood in Philly
Our team has been attending all the Wicked Gluten Free Expos that have been taking place around New England and they have been incredible for us. After having our highest single-day sales at the expo at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, we knew we had to make the journey to their Philly expo. I'm happy to report that Philadelphians love Shimmer too and we are already starting to receive orders from Pennsylvania.
Farmers Markets Incoming
Attending farmers markets is where we have met some of our longest standing Shimmer lovers, so we always love returning to our roots and creating even more Shimmer fans. Starting June 1st, you'll find us at the Kittery Community Market every Sunday, 10am-2pm, all summer long. We will also be returning to the Kennebunk Farmers' Market starting June 21st, 8am-12:30pm, every Saturday through the summer.
This summer we are adding the Makers on Main in Freeport, ME to our market season! The Makers on Main takes place the first Saturday of every month May - September, 10am-4pm. Come start your summer months off in Freeport with Shimmerwood and all the wonderful Maine vendors!
CBD vs THC Beverages
I may start to sound like a broken record on this topic, but it is constantly evolving and you've probably heard me say how half of Shimmerwood's business is education. You may have started seeing more THC beverages appearing in stores outside of dispensaries. These hemp-derived THC seltzers are growing in popularity, so I always want to make sure you know what's in the can you're about to crack open. Whether you're looking to refresh and relax with or without the psychoactive effects of THC, it's important to look for a QR code on the can that should show you a 3rd party lab test breaking down every cannabinoid in that can. If you can't find a certificate of analysis, your safest bet is to put the can down. All these beverages have a place on the shelf, stay empowered to know the effects of each of them.
